Bathukamma and Dandiya celebrations begin with a bang at Kairos international school. Bathukamma is the unique festival of flowers in Telangana. Bathukamma is a colourful and vibrant festival of Telangana and celebrated by women, with flowers that grow exclusively in each region. This festival is a symbol of Telangana’s cultural identity. Bathukamma comes during the latter half of monsoon, before the onset of winter. It is believed that these flowers are good to purify the waters in rivers and ponds. Hence after offering the prayers to Bathukamma, they immerse in wells, ponds ,lakes or rivers. We also celebrated Dandiya as a part of Dussehra celebrations t school. Students came in traditional costumes and enjoyed the day and also realised the importance of the festival.
