We took our little ones on a field trip that took them through the city, exploring the various neighbourhoods that make up the community. We will begin the day by visiting a local hospital. Here, students will learn about the inner workings of a hospital and the key role it plays in the community.

Next, we took them to a bank where students learned about the different financial services provided by the bank, the function of the bank and the importance of managing money.

After that, we visited a large Supermarket where students will learn about the different products and food items that are available.

Then we took them to the local fire station where students got a behind-the-scenes look at the equipment and procedures used by firefighters to keep the community safe.

Finally, we visited the local police station where students learnt about the role of police officers in maintaining law and order, keeping the community safe and what the process of reporting a crime is.

Throughout the trip, students had the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the professionals working at these neighbourhood places, making the learning experience interactive and meaningful. This field trip is not only designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the different places and services that make up their community but also to encourage them to think about their role and how they can be active citizens in their community.
